What these results mean

Shilajit forms in mountain rock, so it naturally contains trace minerals, including small amounts of heavy metals. What matters is that levels are low. Our lead result is around 7% of the UK legal maximum for food supplements, and cadmium is around 3%. Mercury is below the legal maximum. There's no specific UK limit for arsenic in food supplements, but we test for it and publish the result.

These results apply to batch 0628228. You'll find the batch number printed on your jar. A certificate of analysis shows what's in the product. It isn't evidence of any health benefit.
